It’s never easy getting an audience’s attention especially when everyone is trying to do the same. We have a voice and we’ll attract people it just depends on who our audience is based on what we have to offer. Ever heard the saying of “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” Not everyone we encounter will be on the same page but what if that one person you did not expect would lead you to the correct audience.
ATTENDING EVENTS
Could be at music festivals, schools, family/friend gatherings, birthdays, etc. Everyone knows someone who knows that someone and you would be surprised how everyone is connected, we are all connected six ways. Believe it or not there are events that are made specifically for networking. For example we attended one in Vancouver called Vancity Business Babes.

NETWORKING
FACEBOOK groups helped us with our very first photoshoot! Everyone starts somewhere and TFP or collaborations could be found in Facebook groups in your city!

Sometimes your friends will know the same people; all it takes is an introductory. Once you’ve been introduced in this field it’ll open more for you in the future.
CONFIDENCE IS KEY
Without confidence it will be difficult to meet other people. Others can feel the presence of shyness and it isn’t always fun being the one starting the conversation. Have a sip of wine, let loose, and don’t be afraid to open up!
SOCIAL MEDIA
Keep consistent great high quality content on your social media news feed. Try not to post blurry or half assed content (photos/videos). Stay active! It’s not called social media for nothing. Ensure that you’re engaging with your fellow bloggers/followers/photographers/models. The more you engage the more your followers will consistently engage & allow your social media to grow.

PERSISTENCE
Stay persistent & work hard, don’t be afraid or intimidated to ask questions. The worst thing people can do is say no.
Have a great story to tell, people may not know how important this is but a great story sells. Don’t make up a story, stay authentic but have it curated greatly.
